Hi all! Hope everyone has had a great weekend. It was kind of slow around our house. We are all getting over the sickies. Yuck, right?

I am taking a break from the computer today after i get a couple of posts up and I thought I’d share with you a few websites that represent what I do when I am away from the computer. First up, of course, has to be photography related…

America at Home: This is an amazing hardcover book that give insight into American life through family photographs. Pick it up. I love it!

Ravelry: A knitting community I visit often and love. No I won’t be during my day away from the computer, but I will be knitting. ;)

Kate Emerson Designs: Looking for some cute fall clothes for your little girl? Visit this Etsy.com shop! The clothes are so adorable and look great in photos (hint hint). Go check her out and pick something sweet up for your sweet girl.

Thanks for checking out this weeks WL<3. Remember, if you have any cool links you think I should check out, let me konw.

Yup, I’m late. I warned you about that. It happens. It was a pretty busy weekend and I got a lot of things done I was procrastinating on. Blah blah blah right? You want me to get to the real reason we are here; those fabulous links we all love! Well today is extra special because i am going to introduce you to an awesome blog that is a HUGE source of inspiration for me…

The Savvy Photographer

The Savvy Photographer was created by photographer Marsha Mifsud, owner of Sweet Bliss Studios. It is such an awesome read. My favorite posts are her series of interviews with photographers such as Marta Locklear and Mika Beth Edwards which she calls “Meet {and Greet}”. She also has great posts with inspiration for your workspace, fun giveaways, and great deals for photographers. If  you haven’t checked out this blog, do it NOW. :D

Honorable mentions for the week…

Tera Whitney: An awesome photog based out of the OC. I dream of her taking my family pics. I just love the idea of having a Home Movies that rock! session with her and Michel Sandy. If you live in the area, look them up. It is a bit spendy but SO worth it!

Heartworks by Lori @ Etsy: If you are into vintage jewelry with a twist you will love this little shop at Etsy.com. My favorites are the lockets. The perfect thing to hold a photo taken by yours truly. ;)

Thanks for tuning in to this weeks addition of WL<3! Also, don’t forget to follow me on Twitter and Facebook. I have a Facebook Fan Page too!

We are starting a new series of posts around these parts to spread the love to fellow photographers, crafters, bloggers, charities, and just cool stuff we love. We are going to call these posts “Weekend Link Love” or “WL<3 ” if we are feeling a bit lazy (it happens more often than I would like to admit). They will come to you on between Friday and Sunday and let you know about some cool stuff we discovered during the week. So without further adieu…

Cathy + David Photographers: A great husband and wife team of wedding photogs that create some of the most stunning and romantic images I have ever seen. They are located in Bloomington and actually live right across the street from me. Being a wedding photographer not only takes creativity, passion, and energy, but bravery too. They have all those things and are insanely friendly to boot. Check out their most recent wedding at a vineyard in Iowa. It’s just beautiful. If you or someone you know is getting married, check them out. They are already booking well into next year so act fast!

Photojojo!: I sell digital images and collections and I often get the question “What do we do with them?” The answer is… about a million different things. One website I often go to for ideas is Photojojo. They also offer great tips on how to improve your own photos whenever you can’t have a professional photog follow you around. Check out their DIY projects and have a ton of fun.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand: September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Alex’s Lemonade Stand is a wonderful charity working to raise funds for research in the field of childhood cancer. Hop over and take a look. Read about Alex, her family, and their mission. Donate if you can. If you can’t, pass this link on to someone who can. Reach out and make a difference to children with cancer and their families.

Alright everyone, hope you enjoyed our first WL<3! If you have a great link you think I should add let me know and maybe I will have it up here next week. :D
