I had so much fun with Brandy and Jed during their session. They are so sweet and playful with eachother. You can tell just how in love they are. They are getting married in September and I am the lucky photographer for theĀ happy event. Keep an eye out for them again. Brandy is going to make a gorgeous bride and you won’t want to miss it!

So far, in my life as a wedding photographer, I have been blessed with some pretty laid back brides. Rarely have I seen any worry or stress beyond a few butterflies. Kristy takes the cake though. With only two months to plan a wedding, a baby on the way, and three teenagers running around, I would have expected her to be frazzled at best, but when I walked into Kristy & Alex’s home on December 18th, I was greeted by the total opposite. She was the picture for calm as she made lunch for her three older children and guests. Despite complications throughout the day, including the loss of Alex’s family’s baggage by the airline, who had come all the way from Brazil for the occasion, and a pair of lost wedding flip-flops, she stayed warm and friendly and was just overjoyed to be marring the love of her life, Alex.
Alex, who, when he first contacted me, made it clear that his only thought was to make Kristy happy and that this day was about her, could not have been happier himself. He glowed at the sight of her and you could clearly see how excited he was to be marring her. Despite all the bumps in the road that day, he too stayed calm and took care to make sure Kristy was never stressed.
It is very rare you come across a couple where you can clearly see their love just by the way they look at each other. It was impossible to miss with Alex and Kristy, and it was a joy to capture their day and watch it all unfold. Congratulations guys!

Erin and Zac’s wedding may have been the shortest wedding I’ve ever been to, but it was also the most romantic. A 10 minute ceremony with their family and friends in front of a warm fire just a few days before Christmas and two people so in love that you can feel it just by being in their presence. I cried during the ceremony (and after), I cried while editing, and I’m tearing up a bit now. Like their wedding, I’ll keep it short and sweet and just say that it was truly a blessing to be a witness to your love Erin & Zac. It was an awesome birthday! Thank you.

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had amazing holidays. I don’t know about you, but I am so ready for a fresh start in 2011!
This year was definitely the best year I’ve ever had as a photographer. I was able to meet some incredible people and be a part of beautiful weddings. I’ve bonded with other photographers and my work and skill as a photographer and a business woman have grown. I have really learned so much and there is so much I am grateful for.
There is still work to be done and improvements to be made, personally and professional, but I can’t wait to take that challenge head on and share the journey with you. With that, I will leave you with some of my favorite images for 2010.

Here’s to the best year ever!
