Happy Birthday Layla-Bug!

Posted on October 14, 2009
She is almost 4. Thursday is her birthday and she is SO excited. I am excited for her, and a little scared too. I feel like I may be losing my baby. This birthday seems huge to me. She is so grown up and is becoming her own person. She’s funny, smart, defiant, and independent. She is SO beautiful. I am so thankful for her and love her more than words can express.
Layla,
You are our princess, our first baby, and you have half our hearts. You are everything I wanted you to be and SO much more. When you tell me stories true and make believe, when I catch you playing counting games all on your own, when you kiss and hug your brother telling him you love him and I know you mean it with your whole heart, my heart swells. In those moments I could never be happier. You have given us all so much joy and I thank God every day that he gave you to us.
We love you little Bug!

A friend and fellow photographer on ClickinMoms, Tracy Stone, lost her son Nate to H1N1. Nate was a sweet bright light in his family’s life. They are of course heartbroken. Fellow photogs are trying to help raise money for Nate’s funeral as they find themselves unable to afford it right now. If you could find it in your heart, please donate a little if you can. Even just $1 will help.
This was in their local paper today…
“4 year old Nathan Stone passed away this morning at ETCH after battling the H1N1 virus. His visitation and funeral will be at Hood Funeral Home in Crossville. they now have a need for help with his funeral expenses on top of the utilities that are behind. If you can help or know someone who can, please contact Cathy Largent at 931-787-9358″
